Qweb is a certification scheme for e-commerce internationally developed within IQNet: it verifies web sites with focus on the commercial and technological aspects of the selling companies; it also set up a system to manage complaint, through a reconciliation procedure on Internet.

Qweb certification system allows to use the relevant Qweb mark, which is specifically dedicated to e-commerce (both b-2-b and b-2-c).

The Qweb specific can be used for b2b and b2c, but also for free charge services, like the on-line informations. Implementing the Qweb specification the on-line supplier can assure to be reliable and credible. The use of Qweb imply that the supplier:

• gives complete and precise information about goods, services, prices, returned and delivery conditions
• defines refund conditions
• gives always to the customer the opportunity to check the order before it is processed
• gives always to the customer the opportunity to leave the site without ordering
• guarantees to respect the customer’s privacy
• informs the customer on which data will be kept and who will treat them
• defines rules and checks about security
• guarantees security on money transaction by certified agents, credit institutions, etc.

Qweb certification bodies check the on-line suppliers through assessments at the supplier location and through frequently checks of the web-site.

All the CISQ certification bodies can supply this service. If a company already ISO 9000 or ISO 14000 certified can contact directly the certification body involved, otherwise it can contact the CISQ secretariat.
