CISQAUTOMOTIVE offers a certification system dedicated to the automotive companies based on ISO/TS 16949. The CISQ accredited bodies in the automotive sector are: CERTIQUALITY, ICIM, IGQ, IIP, IMQ and RINA.

The development of this specification began in 1996 when various national automotive associations (ANFIA for Italy) decided to build up a working group named IATF (International Automotive Task Force) with the aim to harmonize the Quality System requirements in the automotive field.

Thanks also to the ISO contribute it has been possible to develop a specification which takes into account the various requirements of the national Quality System Guides ( AVSQ 94, QS 9000, VDA 6.1, EAQF 94 ): it is identified as ISO/TS 16949.

The benefits for the automotive companies are significant and they could be summarised as follows:

• to avoid multiple certifications
• to have a certificate with a broad international recognition by the most important automotive manufacturers.
